Ready for Hillary?
Gender, Politics & Media
in the 2008/2016 Campaigns

Lecture by Prof. Dr. Regina G. Lawrence

The US presidential election campaign has become a major event that dominates the news across the globe. The main actors, such as Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have become well known celebrities. This lecture focuses on the role of gender in the campaign. Prof. Lawrence will compare the gendered and non-gendered opportunities and challenges for Hillary Clinton. She will compare this campaign with her previous presidential campaign in 2008; and of course focus on the main differences with her likely opponent, Donald Trump.
